Looking to try Mountain biking in a safer environment?

Quite often, just a little one-on-one guidance from someone who has been trained to provide the instruction is all it takes.  As an enthusiast myself, I've see such an explosion in Mountain biking in MI, but no one seems to be there to help the new person get started.  I was a certified ski instructor (Smuggler's Notch in VT) and now living in MI, I have seen an explosion in trail development and Mt. Biking as a whole.  I see my essential mission as being involved as a cycling advocate.
 

I am a certified instructor through an organization called "BCIP" (Bicycle Certification Instructor Program) which traces it's origins back to IMBA (International Mt. Bike Association).  I also work with with a Mt. Biking trail organization in SE MI (CRAMBA) as well as I have an affiliation with some additional bicycle clubs in the greater Detroit metro area.  I also work with  state and local agencies and groups to help promote the sport.  Please be on the lookout for our new trail and training course we'll be developing through the Lake Orion Parks and Recreation Department at Friendship Park in Lake Orion Township.
